A beautiful day helping others and enjoying friends at NAM!!
On March 17th, 2025, we had eight club members volunteer at Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM). We bagged rice, oatmeal packets & water bottles for distribution to those in need.
We also stocked & organized shelves along with other activities. Several of us enjoyed a nice lunch afterwards at Belle's Kitchen.
For our effort, we were able to obtain a $500 grant from ExxonMobil for NAM. We hope you will be able to join us at our next volunteer event.

PRESIDENT'S LETTER
Welcome to 2025!
I am extremely excited for this new year. The board had its first meeting on January 27 and we are planning some fun things for our members!
Our 1st Quarter luncheon is set for March 7. The theme is Go Texan, so pull out your jeans, dust off your boots and dress in your favorite Go Texan outfit. We are also working to increase our membership this year. I know we have a lot of recent retirees so please invite them out to the luncheon and encourage them to join the fun!
We are still looking for folks to step up to a leadership position in the club this year. We especially need a treasurer and secretary. We also have a board member position still needing to be filled.

Also going forward, we will no longer have an EMC Northwoods Newsletter. All information/updates etc. will be shared on our website or via email, so please make sure you visit our website to learn more about what’s going on.

VICE - PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Activities throughout the year ahead!
Club members thank you for your continued support of our organization and events. As we close out 2024 and look forward to a new year, I want to say we have done well to sustain our club throughout its many challenges.
We've worked hard to locate venues that meet our standards, serve good food while keeping the cost down and reasonably priced for our club members. So please join us for our first quarter luncheon on March 7, 2025 at the new hotel, Hampton Inn & Suites, 18200 I-45; Shenandoah, TX 77384; 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM. (click on event detail below for more information).
We are also looking at some overnight trips in 2025. If you are interested in any of the trips listed, please let us know by selecting the buttons below and dropping me an email. No obligation, this gives us a measure of which trips members are most interested in!
